Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 11, 2026 · Version 2026-07-11
This Privacy Policy explains how CarrierOps, provided by [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME REQUIRED], collects, uses, and shares information. CarrierOps is a business software tool for trucking operations and is not intended for children or consumer household use.
Information We Collect
Based on the current application, CarrierOps may collect user names, email addresses, password/passkey authentication information managed through ASP.NET Identity, company profile information, driver and employee information, truck and trailer information, load and broker/customer data, uploaded documents, inspection information, maintenance records, fuel purchases and receipts, invoice information, module subscription metadata, feedback and support submissions, referral codes, referral attribution and reward-status metadata, device/browser details, logs, diagnostics, IP addresses, and cookie/session information.
Why We Use Information
We use information to create accounts, authenticate users, operate company workspaces, enforce roles and permissions, manage loads, documents, invoices, alerts, reminders, inspections, maintenance, fuel records, feedback, partner API integrations, referral attribution, fraud and abuse prevention, security, troubleshooting, support, legal compliance, and service improvement.
Third-Party Service Providers
Repository evidence identifies possible or current use of Render hosting, PostgreSQL/SQLite database providers, Azure Blob Storage when configured, SMTP email when configured, GitHub issue creation for feedback when enabled, QuestPDF for PDF generation, Microsoft ASP.NET Identity/cookie authentication, Bootstrap assets, and Playwright for testing. CarrierOps may share data with service providers as needed to host, store, send, secure, support, or troubleshoot the service. We do not claim personal information is “never shared.”
The repository does not show a production payment processor, targeted advertising provider, or analytics provider. If those are added, this policy must be updated before launch.
Cookies and Authentication
CarrierOps uses cookies for authentication, session security, “remember me” login behavior, anti-forgery protection, and related application functions. Blocking cookies may prevent login or normal app use.
Customer and Third-Party Data
Customers may enter information about drivers, employees, contractors, customers, brokers, shippers, consignees, and other third parties. Customers are responsible for having lawful authority and any required consent before entering or uploading that information.
Data Retention, Deletion, and Export
The current Identity account pages include personal-data download and user-account deletion screens. Authorized company users can export load, invoice, fuel-purchase, driver, truck, trailer, maintenance, inspection, and compliance-document metadata records to CSV, subject to their company permissions and module access. Compliance exports include document metadata but do not include uploaded file contents. CarrierOps provides CSV import templates, preview validation, and confirmed row import for drivers, trucks, and trailers. CarrierOps also provides a versioned company archive containing structured metadata and currently supported CSV exports. That archive does not yet include uploaded document file contents or restore functionality. CarrierOps does not yet provide CSV coverage for every major record, a full company-data deletion policy, a backup retention period, or a restore commitment. These remaining items require owner and attorney review before commercial launch.
Security
CarrierOps uses application-level authentication, role checks, company scoping, private upload storage abstractions, HTTPS in non-development environments, rate limiting for partner API endpoints, and authorization checks for file access. No system is guaranteed secure, and the repository does not show SOC 2, PCI, HIPAA, or other certification.
Your Choices
You may manage account details in account settings, request support, download available personal data, or request deletion where supported. Company administrators may control company membership and access to company records.
Children's Privacy
CarrierOps is not intended for children. Proposed minimum age: 18 years old [ATTORNEY REVIEW REQUIRED]. Do not use CarrierOps to knowingly submit children’s personal information.
Interstate and International Use
CarrierOps is operated for U.S. business trucking use. If you access it from another jurisdiction, you understand that information may be processed in the United States or wherever our service providers operate.
State Privacy Rights
Some state privacy laws apply only after threshold requirements are met. The repository does not establish whether CarrierOps is subject to a specific state privacy law. This section requires legal review as the customer base grows.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material updates should use a deliberate versioned notice or re-consent process.
